Personal Development

Research by the Educational Endowment Fund and the Cabinet Office found that enabling character traits within school can improve educational attainment, lead to a reduction in levels of emotional distress and increase engagement and attendance. Therefore, access to personal development in schools will drive equity and social mobility for all of our pupils. It does this by valuing the acquisition of social confidence, positive moral attributes and the development of emotional intelligence. 

There are six-character benchmarks according to personal and character education guidance framework from the DFE in 2019. They are;
