Character Education
As a school, we believe it is important to promote the wider personal development of our children to enable them to become well rounded adults who are ready to take their place in the world. With this in mind, we have written our own Character Education programme that will help our children to develop aspects of their character throughout their life at Coniston Primary School.
The Awards aims to recognise success in development of character through six key strands:
Each strand has a number of objectives that we want our children to complete. All of the objectives within the strands can be met through our curriculum offer within school but we actively encourage children to work on these objectives outside of school too! Each child will keep a record of their achievements in school and receive a bronze badge when they have completed 15 of the objectives; a silver badge when they have completed 30 of the objectives and a gold badge when they have completed 50 of the objectives.
