Starting in Reception

Dear Parents/Carers

It is a real pleasure to welcome you to Coniston Primary School.   My name is Mrs Gregory, and I will be your child’s class teacher in September.  I am writing to you today to give you an update on your child’s transition to school this year.

This year, we will be inviting the children to take part in two stay and play sessions in our outdoor area, along with a teddy bear’s picnic near the end of term.  These sessions will be a great opportunity for your child to come and meet the adults and some of the children who will be in their class.  We hope that your children will be available for these visits.

Our parent meetings will take place in June  At the meeting, you will receive the information you need prior to them starting school, along with various forms that will need to be returned.

I have already started visiting the children’s pre-schools, but look forward to meeting them all at the stay and play sessions.

We are confident that our Early Years provision will offer your child a nurturing and creative learning environment where they will flourish.
