Reception Sept 2020 starters

It is a real pleasure to welcome you to Coniston Primary School.   My name is Mrs Gregory, and I will be your child’s class teacher in September.  I am writing to you today to give you an update on your child’s transition to school this year.

In normal circumstance, this letter would include dates and information about times when you would be invited in to meet us and bring your child in for initial visits – as I’m sure you can appreciate, things are a little different this year so we will not be able to invite you to visit just yet! However, we are no less excited to be welcoming you to our school.

Over the next few weeks we will be keeping in contact with you and your child and working to find ways to ensure they are as comfortable and confident as possible when they start with us in the Autumn Term.   Look out for updates on our school website.  We will be posting videos and messages for you there.  We understand what a huge step this is for your child and we want to ensure they have a smooth transition as they start school.

In the next week or two, you will be sent out a pack that will include all of the information you need prior to your child starting school.  So that I can introduce myself, I will also be contacting everyone by telephone; this will give you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Your child will be joining us at an exciting time.  Our new outdoor area has just had a new canopy and gazebo built and we are in the process of resourcing this ready for when your child starts in September. We are confident that our Early Years provision will offer your child a nurturing and creative learning environment where they will flourish.

If you have any questions please contact the school office at office@conistonprimary.org.uk

We are really looking forward to meeting you all,

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Gregory
